About The Black Lion Inn, Babell
The Black Lion Inn, Babell, dates back to the 13th century and although it has been renovated and extended over the years, its identity and character has been preserved.
Situated in the heart of the small hamlet of Babell, not far from the A55, The Black Lion attracts people from all over the North West and North Wales. Its reputation for great food, warm welcome and assured quality precedes it.
The Black Lion has a history steeped in mystery and intrigue with many sightings of spirits - and not just those behind the bar! The presence of people passed has been felt by customers and landlords alike with unexplained changes to the music system as well as the reoccurring Canadian voice of a man asking to come in.
